おはようございます。今日はやや秋の気候ですが、もはや季節がよくわかりません（冬はくるんですよね･･･）そして、きょうはじめて（←）蓮根を切りましたが、かたくてびっくりしました

Good morning. Today I can say it’s autumn of a kind, but I am no longer sure about the season and am skeptical if the winter actually comes. BTW, I tried cutting Renkon (lotus root) for the first time and was surprised to find it’s genuinely hard.
